9/28 - AIF

Check One, Two

Okay, so things don't always go as planned. No matter how prepared one may be there are sometimes glitches in the system and we did have a glitch today for the Concert of Prayer. Sorry there was a little confusion when you could hear other callers, but God knows our heart and our prayers.

Sandy Anderson did a great job in leading us through praying for the World Gospel Mission ministries on the American Indian Field in Arizona. Because this ministry is located in Arizona there are unique opportunities for missionaries to serve through bi-vocational service. That means you can be employed on the reservations by tribal authority yet be involved in ministry. Current ministry needs include: medical personnel, teachers, firefighters, police, and social workers. Could God be calling you to the American Indian Field in Arizona? Where is your mission field?

Did you miss the concert? You can listen to the call or any other the other live calls on our website. Just click here.

See you at the Concert!

Hi Kristi,

I thought I’d send you a note this evening.

After the concert of prayer this morning, I felt like everything had gone “wrong” on my end of the prayer time….and felt bad that it hadn’t gone as smoothly as some days I’ve listened to. Soon after “the concert” we left for the church we attend on the Salt River Pima reservation. What a day! Church started and after we sang several worship choruses, a young lady gave her testimony and shared how God has been helping her with her struggle with alcohol and anger at God because of the death of her baby daughter several years ago. She testified that God has changed her and she wants to live for him. Following her testimony several others came to the altar praying. This included her mother whom the church has been praying for, for some time. After a time of prayer each one gave testimony of how God is working in their lives.

The church had scheduled a baptism service at the river for this afternoon and we are so thankful that we were able to attend. Two adult women and 5 children were baptized. It was an extra blessing to LeRoy and I that one of the girls had accepted the Lord during one of the AIF Kid’s Camps at Southwest Indian Ministries Center this summer!

We just want to say thank you to everyone who is joining in prayer for each of the WGM fields and let you know that God is at work!

Thanks for all you do.

Sandy Anderson
